There are many benefits of yoga as practiced today. At the Hive we believe in caring for the whole child and yoga has proven results for overall wellbeing in people of all ages, especially children.
Children encounter emotional, social and physical challenges and conflict just like adults but they do not as yet have the coping techniques or the knowledge to deal with such big emotions.
Simple yoga techniques, behavioral guidelines and physical postures can be incredibly valuable for children. Yoga is something young children can practice anywhere and learning the breathing techniques, concentration, the poses and the way children learn and act and react to situations will lead to constant self-discovery and inquisitiveness.
