The Hive Early Learning Centre Fairfield provides high quality early childhood education and care for children aged 6 weeks to school aged. We are a 118-place centre over six large purpose-built rooms with beautifully natural indoor and outdoor play spaces.
At The Hive Fairfield, our philosophy is built around the concept that all children in our care receive the best level of care and learning possible. We do this by providing children with a warm, loving, nurturing and safe environment.
Our goal is to focus on each individual child and their needs. We believe in building a sense of home and community where our children will be encouraged to be brave, creative, resilient and kind.
Our spaces are designed to inspire curiosity and to help your child play and learn in a purposeful and meaningful way.
We are also committed to connecting children to their local community by providing regular excursions and incursions that will inspire conversations, extend their knowledge and sense of fun. We strongly believe that these elements will help our children grow and provide a solid and smooth transition into primary school.
Through teamwork, dedication and a passion for early childhood education our team of educators will provide an environment where your child’s learning, development and wellbeing will be at the core of everything we do at The Hive Fairfield....
Centre Manager – Amie Jahn
I am so pleased to be able to be a part of this wonderful journey here at The Hive Fairfield! I have had the pleasure of walking alongside children and their early learning journey for a bit over 12 years now. I am passionate about the growth, development and education of every child that walks through my doors and love being a part of shaping the minds of our future leaders. I believe having an environment that is rich with warmth, love and respect, fosters a fantastic sense of agency and a feeling of being, belonging and becoming for all the children, educators and parents.
In the first five years of life, a child will learn so many important life skills that they will continue to develop forever. Working in the early childhood sector allows me to have an impact on these aspects of their learning. A child needs to build strong relationships with adults and other children within their early years to feel safe, secure and part of a community.
As a Centre Manager I believe that growth within your team fosters fantastic relationships with your educators, allowing them to grow to their full potential. I love being able to mentor, support and share my knowledge with my team, which then in turn creates a culture within the service that everyone dreams to be a part of.
We are all as early childhood educators excited about the learning journey we are offering here at The Hive and can’t wait to be able to be a part of your child’s learning journey.

We take sun protection very seriously at The Hive. Overexposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation causes wrinkles and skin and eye damage, ultimately leading to skin cancer.
UV cannot be seen or felt. It is not like the sun’s light which we see, or the sun’s warmth (infrared radiation) which we feel. Our senses cannot detect UV so it can be damaging without us knowing. There is a huge variation in UV levels across Australia. The UV level is affected by a number of factors including the time of day, time of year, cloud cover, altitude, proximity to the equator, scattering and reflection.
Take away the guesswork of the UV exposure each day by checking out the SunSmart UV widget. The widget shows the sun protection times closest to our centres location, making it easier than ever to be smart about your sun exposure all year.
