Gardening In Early Childhood Education

Edible gardening promotes both respect for the environment and a child’s own responsibility for good health. When children take part in growing fresh foods, they are more willing to try them. We believe edible gardening teaches patience, accountability and encourages them to make healthier choices. We link educating children about benefits of fruit, vegetables and herbs that are grown and why we eat certain foods to help us with our health.

Growing vegetables and herbs can be done either indoors or outdoors.
