Pre-Kinder

3 years

As a child approaches pre-kinder age, the foundation for school-readiness begins to be introduced. 3 year old children are now eligible for enrolment in our government-funded kinder program. In our pre-kinder room, we incorporate school-readiness activities into play-based learning.

  • Enriching experiences (introduction to incursions): We introduce our carefully curated incursions that are engaging, hands-on experiences brought right into our centre, designed to ignite the imagination and curiosity of our little learners.
  • Emotional Awareness: Teaching children to recognise and express emotions effectively. Practicing problem-solving and coping skills to handle different emotional situations. Introduction of group activities in pre-kinder groups and learning to follow rules, respect boundaries, and consider the feelings of others.
  • Building Self-Confidence: As children explore new activities and challenges in kindergarten, they begin to develop a sense of competence and self-confidence. Encouragement and positive reinforcement from educators and peers play a key role in bolstering their self-esteem.
